South River Forest Classic Bungalow
The bungalow layout is generally uniform–a single load bearing wall down the middle of the house–and makes for an easy transition to a more modern form. In this case the public side of the house was opened up completely so living area flows into dining which flows into kitchen which flows into the yard. The vaulted ceiling on the second floor and collar ties made for intersting angles and finishes on the second floor. The lower level was also completely usable as most bungalow basements are–with high bright windows, open floor plan and a new bathroom.
